Edgartown Bicycle grew from that simple idea: that the best way to experience Martha’s Vineyard is on two wheels. What began as a local bicycle shop has become part of the fabric of summer in Edgartown, serving visitors and year round Islanders alike.

Over the years, Edgartown Bicycle has become a familiar stop for generations of families visiting Martha’s Vineyard. For some, a bike from the shop means the beginning of a long awaited summer vacation. For others, it is part of an everyday Island routine.

From morning rides into town to afternoons at the beach and long loops around the Island, bicycles have a way of becoming part of the memories people take home with them. We have had the pleasure of helping riders of all ages find their way around the Vineyard, one ride at a time.

As the Island has changed, so has Edgartown Bicycle. Today, we are continuing to build on that history by creating more ways for people to experience the Vineyard by bike.

Our focus goes beyond simply putting a bike beneath you. It is about getting outside, moving through beautiful places, finding great roads and trails, and creating experiences that bring people together. From everyday rides to guided tours and adventures around the Island, we are excited to keep growing alongside the cycling community.

There is something special about a business that gets to be part of people's summers year after year. We have watched families grow, welcomed generations of riders, and seen countless people fall in love with Martha’s Vineyard from the seat of a bicycle.

Today, Edgartown Bicycle is looking toward the future while staying rooted in what has always made the shop special: good bikes, good people, and a deep appreciation for this Island.
